Eva Hesed, Caresser of Dreams

The story behind the collage is wanting to do my own interpretation of the Eve (Eva) legend in the Bible, to create my own interpretive story as in the Judaic mystical tradition. Here, my Eva (Eve) is the caresser of our dreams, the muse of the artist's creative work. The work is monochromatic, much like an old photograph. The influence comes from 19thC Victorian pinups. The image is alchemically deconstructed and reconstructed by tearing, cutting, collaging, staining, bleaching and other processes to alter the original imagery. Viewers can create their own narrative or compare this narrative with traditional views of Eve. From series, "Life of Eve."
